Connecting Teachers With International Schools Globally

We open the door to your next opportunity.

Support We Offer To Teachers

We understand that looking for work in the world of international teaching can be frustrating and challenging to navigate. This is why Orcaida is here to simplify the process and ensure a smooth journey for you by providing the below support:

International Knowledge

When moving internationally, knowledge is everything. Through working worldwide, we provide in-depth knowledge to ensure there are no surprises waiting in your destination country. Our founders and leadership have themselves moved internationally for their careers so understand the process and will be there for you every step of the way.

Interview Preparation

From overseeing thousands of interviews, we know which elements of your CV to highlight to international schools and how to present your experiences in a way which matches requirements. We have a template interview preparation document which is provided free of charge. We are always just a phone call or message away, and are happy to answer any questions.

Onboarding Support

We communicate throughout the whole process. This includes support and advice when: obtaining a visa, arriving at your teaching destination and throughout your contract. We have developed a Buddy Scheme, which matches you with a teacher close to your location to help you settle in.

Complete Honesty and Guidance

We commit to complete honesty. From years of recruiting internationally, we have a good understanding of which schools and locations will fit teachers. We will advise with transparency, telling you if we think a school and/or location will be a good fit.

Where will you go?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which locations do you work?

Almost anywhere. We have established contacts across international schools worldwide. Throughout our careers, we’ve successfully placed teachers in countries ranging from Italy and Mexico to Ghana and Oman. Wherever you’re hoping to go, get in touch and we’ll help you get there.

  • How much does it cost?

Our service is completely free to teachers. We are hired by international schools to support their recruitment.

  • How long does the process take?

The timeline varies, depending on desired location, desired job role and time of year. Whilst we have completed placements within 3 days previously, typical recruitment time frames are between 2 – 4 weeks. Our advice is that as tempting as it is to try to make the process be as fast as possible, it is often a better idea to take our time and find the perfect fit for you. We will always be honest about our expected time frame within our initial communication.

  • I am really not sure about whether I want to teach internationally but I am intrigued, can you help?

Absolutely, we can advise about all options available. Information online can be inconsistent and often is unreliable. If you are even the slightest bit interested in teaching internationally, drop us a message – do not rely on ChatGPT!

If you have any questions which we have not covered, reach out to us and we will be happy to answer.

  • What if after arriving, I do not like the school or location?

This can happen, and is always part of the risk of international teaching. However, we take every precaution to prevent this from happening. We carefully select our partner schools and have learned from past experience – we know which schools treat their staff well, and which don’t. Sometimes this can be very hard to see unless you have inside knowledge, which we utilise our global connections to obtain.

Also, teachers are given an abundance of information about their location and school in preparation, ensuring there are no surprises upon arrival. We are on your side, and if a place is not suited to you after arrival, we work closely with our partner schools to ensure we can offer alternative options for you.
